About Me

Hi, I’m Genevieve.

  • My path to becoming a therapist began on the other side of the room - as a client. Through that experience, I learned firsthand how a genuine, secure, and validating relationship can foster healing, self-trust, and insight. From then on, I knew I wanted to offer that same kind of connection to others.

My style is conversational, warm, and relaxed. I show up authentically in each session - not as an expert or guide - but as a real person walking alongside you. Sometimes that looks like discussing current events, sharing pictures of our cats, or talking about music; other times it means speaking about parts of my own struggles to deepen connection and shared understanding.

I find it so important that therapy be flexible and fit whatever each person needs on a given day. Sometimes that may be debriefing the week and discussing the high points of life, other times it might be processing trauma and feeling big emotions. I don’t impose agenda’s, specific “must do’s,” homework, or timelines.

At its core, my work is about creating space - space to feel, reflect, and untangle the patterns that keep us stuck. I love supporting people as they learn new ways of relating to themselves and the world around them. If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect.

  • When I’m not in the office, I’m a pretty big homebody. I live with my partner, Jeff, our dog, Pico, and our three cats Tuna, Greta, and Tommy. Jeff is a firefighter, so our schedule looks a bit different week to week.

A lot of my time at home is spent listening to music, reading under our carport, or binge watching TV shows. I’m a big fan of comedy, gripping dramas, and true crime. I also have picked up the guitar over the last year and I try to play for at least a few hours each week.

When I do step out, I enjoy taking Pico for walks or going to the gym. I spent the last year transitioning from powerlifting to running, but now I’m in a period of just moving mindfully. I was born and raised in the Pensacola area, aside from one winter spent living in a Colorado ski town, and as a typical local, I love spending time at the beach and in the water.
